How to find Electrical contractors in Iraq?

I’m a Journeyman Electrician very familiar with the situation over there and what not.. I’m Prior Navy so know the whole “loose lips sink ships act” and I’m looking to maybe head over to Iraq for a few yrs working for a electrical contractor and possibly make some money.. How would I get ahold of some??

From what I’ve heard they don’t do quality work over there and some people have died because of poor wiring. That’s certainly a way to make money by speeding up the process. Be careful though, they might want you to do things that would be considered unethical in any other realm.

Honestly, most of the electrical work is sub-contracted by KBR to local companies (mostly in Turkey). KBR provides supervisors, basically, to oversee their work, and to act as the liason between base customers and the subcontractors.
I would check out KBR’s website (www.kbr.com) for job opportunities but for the most part, they are few are far between, especially since the US will be pulling most of their troops out of Iraq in the near future.
