The quickest would be by air,the cheapest by bus or rail.It would take about 7 hours by vehicle..car,bus, or train and around a hour to hour and a half by air.It is about 461 miles distance between the two cities.

depends on how soon you want to leave really. If you want to leave in the next few days then the train is the best option which will cost about £117 and it’ll take between 6hrs 30mins and 8hrs depending on what train you get. If you are planning to leave in the next couple of weeks however then flying is much cheaper. Easyjet do a flight from Gatwick to Glasgow for £46 and takes 1hr 30mins. Check out travelsupermarket.com because you might find a better deal plus i dont know what airport is closest to you.
