TV, HT Reciever, DVD, and old X-box supplied 220V by overzealous electricians. Is it just a matter of replacing the power supplies? Or will repairs be more than equipment is worth? Most components were 5 yrs. old or older.

Repairs, yes.. however, I would expect you to have the electricians who made this foolish mistake to pay for replacement of your property.

First of all, no licensed electrician in the US would make that mistake. Check your other outlets for proper wiring with a cheap outlet checker from a home store.
Are all the home theater components now not working? Some modern electronic devices can work on both 110 and 220. For the ones that don’t work, it may be just an internal fuse that got blown. If any have damage beyond that, I would just trash them.

The way electronics are these days, they are designed with only one or two main circuit boards, so you have to replace everything if you want to repair something. It is almost always cheaper to buy a new replacement than pay somebody to repair it. Get some replacement prices and submit them to the electricians and you lawyer, as you may need to sue.

Agree with Chuck, let the electricians who made the mistake pay for it. You are lucky considering that some “old” or “older” components have the bad habit of catching fire or even exploding when supplied 220 volts.
