Well, I work for a laptop repair/warranty center - and we get this question all the time.

Home solution, no. Sorry

My solution, honestly, where you'll save the most time and effort, would just be to buy a new system board. They're a lot cheaper than you'd think. When those A/C in jacks burn in, they can really vary in what they damage on the board. I've seen ram get fried, processors get fried, everything. At the shop, we don't even worry about going through and test in them because the time we spend on the diagnosis, re soldering, whatever, would cost far more than a replacement system board.

I apologize if that's not what you wanted to hear

I don't have any idea where you would obtain a replacement mobo for a laptop. The best bet is to contact Samsung and see if they can help you out. Sounds like you have a major power issue! How did this occur? Surge, lighting? Invest in a good surge protector for this computer. If it is fried, talk to Samsung about options. I had an interest in building my own laptop, but I have no idea where to find cases, mobos for these computers.

There is no way to repair a motherboard. From your description you have had a power problem and the motherboard may not be all that is gone on the computer. Good luck.

There are all sorts of computer parts on eBay. Of course you run the risk of dealing with a scammer. Still you may find your laptop with a smashed screen for cheaper than buying the part itself. That way you'd get all the parts for your laptop in case something else broke.

Hi!
You could try fix it welding a similar power jack old motherboard. I can't guarantee you it will works, because most of the time several other components can be burned too, but you can try,

Its not worth it! The motherboard is the most complicated part of the computer! You really shouldn't mess with the CPU! Notebooks aren't all that expensive these days, you are better off just buying a new one. I doubt this probelm is easily fixable! sorry! ~Good Luck~

If the motherboard is fried, you would have to get a like-for-like replacement. Good luck!
