SINT asked:
After a few weeks of using my electric griddle, the surface becomes sticky around the outer edges. Why is that and what can I do to prevent it?

That would be the grease from whatever you are cooking on there. It’s slick at first, but eventually it builds up into nasty sticky gunk. You can’t really prevent it, but you can wash it off with a little elbow grease and some hot soapy water. I prefer Dawn dish soap. For the parts that food does not touch, you can use a commercial grade product called greased lightening. Good luck!

it is from your non-stick spray. I believe it’s the alcohol in it. I use Vegalene. There is no more sticky.
