How do you clean an electric guitar?

In a soap bath.

just wipe it down with a damp cloth. next time you have the strings off give a better cleaning, the neck and frets and stuff. there is stuff you can buy at music stores, but a damp cloth will work fine. it’s just metal and polished wood after all.
