How to install a new electric meter box?

Hey no i am having the electric company shut the electric off completely while i do it. I know not to mess with them when the wires are live. The problem is the lug in my box is broke so therefor i need a new one.
Oh and the electric company says its not there problem to fix it.

If you are talking about the box that holds the meter you should call a pro because you are dealing with un fused electric that you can’t shut off it WILL kill you!

it depends on the meter you are talking about….i can tell you how to change it but i’m not sure if i should…..the only meter you should have at a residence is the one on the side of your house that is owned by the electric company and they wont want you messing with it and i don’t know why you would want to….give me some more info like if it is a seperate meter owned by you and i will see if i can help you out…if its the electric company’s meter and it needs to be changed you should just call them

sure, CALL AN ELECTRICIAN! even if you pull it off and live, it will need to be inspected at some point and you WILL be in trouble!
