electrician career please help?

Private asked:

is a career as an electrician likely to give you a salery higher than the average wage?

why is there such a high demand for people to work in the mines? is it terrible working conditions?

am i better off starting a domestic electrical business or working as an industrial one for someone else, wage wise?

question about a blue collar job — electrician?

John asked:

Carpenters who were working in my house was saying that people who do ‘alignments’ on electric poles earn a lot more than them (I think they said $35/hour compared to their $25/hour) They were saying that if they could go back they would have gotten certification on that instead of doing carpentry. What is this job called? (I think it’s some sort of electrician?)
