When I’m good enough I want to play genres that require skill in both the electric and the acoustic guitar. As far as learning how to play, which type is best for the novice guitarist?

I’m doing some research and I can’t find any electrical engineers in the yellow pages, while there are pages of contractors. What exactly do they do? Do engineers work for the contractor companies? Any help or answers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I’ve never done anything with electricity before, but I’m considering installing a new light fixture myself. Is this crazy, or is it really a simple thing? This is an older house and I worry not about getting electrocuted, but more about starting a fire later, or that I won’t recognize poor wiring that already exists in the house. People say it’s really easy to install light fixtures and there’s nothing to it. Is that true?
